I have been handy since my early teens and built a desk in high school. That desk is still in use today, 20 years later.
My woodworking journey didn't really start until we were having our first child, and we needed a changing table. After taking some scrap wood and making a pretty decent piece of furniture, my wife asked me to make a ladder shelf for the bathroom. During that project I realized I liked making things with wood and started looking for plan online. Since then, my wife has asked me to build a piece for just about room in the house.
